Emirates and Air Peace have finalized an interline agreement designed to transform travel connectivity between Nigeria and the UAE.
This collaboration allows Emirates passengers to access 13 additional Nigerian cities through seamless single-ticket bookings and streamlined baggage handling.
The partnership aims to simplify travel for both leisure and business passengers while reinforcing economic ties between the two nations.
Passengers flying from Dubai to Lagos can now connect effortlessly to eight Nigerian cities, including Asaba, Akure, Benin City, and Enugu.
The agreement also unlocks travel to key economic hubs such as Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt. This expansion positions Emirates to serve a broader range of travelers, from corporate clients to families visiting loved ones.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President, highlighted the airline’s commitment to Nigeria’s aviation and trade sectors.
“This partnership with Air Peace reflects our dedication to enhancing connectivity and offering diverse travel options,” he said.
Kazim also expressed optimism about future collaborations to further benefit customers.
Air Peace’s Vision
Air Peace’s Chief Operating Officer, Oluwatoyin Olajide, emphasized the partnership’s role in advancing Nigeria’s aviation industry.
“This agreement aligns with our mission to deliver world-class travel experiences while expanding our global footprint,” she said.
Olajide noted that travelers from Dubai can now access domestic destinations like Kaduna, Owerri, and Calabar with ease, fostering tourism and trade.
The airline’s fleet, which includes Airbus A320s, Boeing 737s, and Embraer jets, ensures reliable connections across Nigeria and beyond. Emirates operates its Dubai-Lagos route using a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring premium cabins, including first-class suites.
EconomIc Boost
The partnership arrives amid growing bilateral trade between Nigeria and the UAE, which exceeded $1.3 billion in 2022.
By improving air travel efficiency, the interline agreement is poised to boost commerce and investment.
Additionally, it positions Lagos as a pivotal hub for regional and international travel, enhancing Nigeria’s stature in global aviation.
For travelers, the alliance eliminates the hassle of multiple bookings and baggage rechecks. Passengers departing Dubai can now enjoy a unified journey to lesser-served Nigerian cities, while Air Peace customers gain indirect access to Emirates’ extensive global network.
This collaboration underscores both airlines’ dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.
As Emirates and Air Peace deepen their partnership, travelers can anticipate more opportunities for seamless, high-quality air travel across Africa and the Middle East.
