Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye stopped an event organized in her name without her permission and accused the organizers of impersonation.
The event on the role of women in food security was organized by Mela-Chiyoma PAT Limited.
She personally came and told the attendees that the organizers have been arrested for using the name of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs without permission.
In a video shared by The ICIR on X (formerly Twitter), Kennedy-Ohanenye said:
“She has been arrested. She should have reorganized herself, used her name to design the invitation and used her name to do this, not to use the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.
I can’t allow this program to go on. I’m sorry about this. This is pure impersonation, and the President is not happy about it.”
She stressed the seriousness of the matter and told the media to report:
“I’m saying it. Let the media cover it. You don’t do this. You don’t take the ministry for granted. For what?”
