On a recent episode of the Honest Bunch podcast, Terry G, a Nigerian artist mentioned Portable in a conversation as someone who had tried to be like him.
According to Terry G, while Portable did imitate him with the theatrical actions, he did not replicate his music.
“He caught my persona’s element of performance but failed to recognize my musicality and artistry. Vocalization is not just music; therefore has he taken time to acquire any musical instrument?”
Also, Terry G disputed claims by comedian AY when he said: “I won over AY.Com. I produced ‘Pass Me Ur Luv,’ sang the chorus and added one verse.” Therefore, no one should stop me from singing it whenever I am performing at any event. In addition, I was never paid for making that track.”
