Nigerian Afrobeats star, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has arrived in India to perform at the lavish wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia’s richest man and Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant.
Rema’s Arrival and Performance
Rema, who is famous for his hit song “Calm Down” shared a video on Thursday of himself in all black outfit walking towards a private chartered plane.
The video posted on Instagram had the song “Azaman” from his recently released sophomore album “He Is” with an Indian tricolor emoji.
Expensive Performances
According to Hindustan Times, the Nigerian singer is being paid $3 million to perform “Calm Down” at the wedding. He will share the stage with Canadian singer Justin Bieber who was reportedly paid $10 million for his performance. Pop star Rihanna is also performing but her fee is not disclosed.
The Big Wedding
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant will get married on Friday, July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Centre (BKC), Mumbai. The four day long wedding festivities in Mumbai started since March.

The wedding will have many big names in attendance including Kim Kardashian, former UK PM Boris Johnson, former UK PM Tony Blair, former US Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish PM Carl Bildt, former Canadian PM Stephen Harper and many more.
