Social media influencer Martins Otse aka VeryDarkMan has come out to say he has more evidence to his expose on Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky. This is coming after Bobrisky dropped a voice note that he is serving his sentence in a private residence.
VeryDarkMan also clears Femi Falana. He said he never intended to insult the Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human rights lawyer.
“I have more to share”, VeryDarkMan posted on Instagram. “Tomorrow I will drop another voice note from another source. I think a thorough investigation is necessary, especially with EFCC, Comptroller General of Prisons and Uncle Femi Falana involved. A full investigation will reveal the truth”.
This came after Falana denied being involved with Bobrisky and gave VeryDarkMan 24 hours to withdraw his statement linking him to the matter.
In a letter from Falana’s lawyers, VeryDarkMan was asked to apologize and withdraw his statement.
The controversy started when VeryDarkMan shared a voice note where Bobrisky said after being convicted for naira abuse in April, his godfather in collaboration with the Comptroller General of Nigerian Correctional Service arranged for him to serve his 6 months sentence in a private residence.
In that same voice note, Bobrisky mentioned that Falz and his father Falana offered to get him a Federal Government pardon for ₦10 million.
But Falana’s lawyers denied the claim, “Our client has never spoken to Bobrisky about any alleged pardon or any related matter.”
VeryDarkMan responded to the letter, saying he never intended to insult Uncle Falana but just asked questions.
“I never defamed Uncle Falana and never will. I have respect for him, not just because he is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria but also for what he has done for people like me who challenge societal injustices and abuse of power.
He said “I was just responding to Bobrisky’s claim that Falz linked Uncle Falana to a ₦10m deal. I said I couldn’t believe Uncle Falana would be involved in such. If it turns out to be true, it would be very disappointing because of the values he represents in society”
VeryDarkMan added that he kept the part where Falz was mentioned in the video because he wanted the issue to be investigated thoroughly.
Investigate. EFCC, Comptroller General of Prisons, Uncle Falana and Falz were all mentioned. If Bobrisky is lying, he should face the consequences for involving such big names.
In his final words, VeryDarkMan said “Uncle Falana, I would never defame you and I didn’t. I still respect you and appreciate everything you’ve done. You are like a father to me and I have so much respect for you.”
