Pelumi Nubi, a 28-year-old travel content creator, has completed her solo trip by road from London in the United Kingdom to Lagos in Nigeria.
On Sunday, Gboyega Akosile, who is the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Lagos State announced her arrival via his social media account.
He stated that at the Nigeria-Benin Republic border, where Pelumi concluded her lone expedition, she was given a warm welcome by Lagos state government as a Nigerian-British.
In his words, “A **heroic reception** is organized for Pelumi Nubi; a Nigerian-British national of whom just went on a solo journey from London to Lagos.”
“Welcome home!” This greeting was said at the border between Nigeria and Benin Republic on behalf of Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka-Commissioner for Tourism Arts and Culture and Idris Aregbe-Special Adviser on Tourism Arts and Culture.
Nubi embarked on her solo journey by road driving herself in a car on January 30th 2024.
